With that, we are seeking a Staff Accountant who is eager to disrupt the diaper industry and who wants to do their part in saving the planet. This is a unique opportunity to be able to partner with the Senior Accounting Manager and SVP of Finance & Accounting in all areas of accounting utilizing top notch small business tools and resources.
What You Will Do:
General 75%
Record bank transactions daily
Participate in period closes, record journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, perform bank reconciliations, maintain fixed asset schedules, and other general accounting processes/functions
Monthly sales tax calculation review and payment
Analyze and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly ensuring reconciling items are cleared timely
Review monthly credit card transaction upload for coding accuracy
Make recommendations for process improvements
Maintain documentation of processes and procedure related to assigned functions
Cross train with A/P and A/R teams to assist as needed
Keep manager informed of activities and any significant issues
Manage Subsidiary Accounting 25%
Assist with period closes, maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers; and perform other general accounting procedures.
Communicate regularly with Subsidiary Management
Assist in preparing annual 1099 forms as needed
Special Projects as needed or requested from the Senior Accounting Manager or SVP of Finance & Accounting
Requirements

You Will Succeed With:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting (preferred)
3+ years accounting/finance experience in a similar role working with the general ledger
Strong Excel skills
Demonstrates strong accounting skills and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Audit experience a plus
Accounting software experience with preference being given to mid to large sized ERPs such as NetSuite
Well-organized with ability to prioritize
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and sense of urgency
Nice to Have:
Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or ecommerce experience preferred
Experience using Google Workspace
