Position Overview: As a Garage Door Technician at C & D Garage Doors, you will play a crucial role in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial garage doors and openers. We are seeking individuals who not only bring technical expertise but also have a passion for their work and a desire to assume greater responsibilities as they contribute to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, service, and maintain commercial garage doors, including Sectional, Rolling Sheet, and Rolling Steel Overhead Doors.
Install, service, and maintain Automatic Door Openers.
Service and maintain Loading Dock Equipment.
Perform replacements of broken springs and other faulty components on residential doors.
Collaborate with a team to safely lift heavy or awkward-shaped objects.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Record notes and adjust invoicing as needed in the field
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience as a Garage Door Technician, particularly working with commercial garage doors.
Ability to install a standard residential sectional door without assistance.
Ability to install a Commercial Sectional Door with another tech.
Accurate measurement of springs and safe replacement of commercial and residential springs.
Proficient troubleshooting and repair skills for commercial and residential operators.
Capability to work collaboratively in installing Rolling Steel Service Doors.
Experience with heavy equipment, forklift, scissors lift, and hijack.
Ability to pass a background check.
Clean driving record in order to drive company vehicles.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel within the Southern Arizona region (with a company vehicle).
Ability to work overtime, sometimes 50-60 hours per week (time-and-a-half pay). 
Preferred: welding, forklift certified
