Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Busser is responsible for setting and resetting the dining room tables, assists with clearing tables, maintains the cleanliness of the restaurant dining room. Assists the servers where needed.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: other duties may be assigned
Resets tables according to specifications of the restaurant
Remove plates and silverware when guests are finished (prebus)
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Work with a spirit of teamwork.  Willingly accepts additional responsibilities and tasks. Communicate needs and ideas to management.
Performs sidework as needed throughout shift
Follows all safety and sanitation policies
Makes constant rounds of the restaurant ensuring all guest’s tables are attended to with regards to cleanliness, proper utensils, napkins, water supplies and condiments
Ensuring the cleanliness of the restaurant is maintained to standards.
Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time

WORK CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS / MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
 
There is constant physical contact with food. Washing hands and arms is mandatory. General hygiene such as brushing teeth, daily shower, and deodorant is mandatory. Ability to stand, walk and or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances within the building.
 
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as gloves. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional restaurant equipment as found in a typical restaurnat environment.

Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
