Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Restaurant Server is responsible for identifying the needs of guests and accommodating to those needs, Serves the guests quickly and efficiently with complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu. Maintains their station in a clean and orderly manner throughout the shift.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Warmly greets and acknowledges guests upon arrival
Cash handling including: Correctly and precisely calculates each guest check
Properly ring guest orders through the POS system
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Work with a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.  Willingly accepts additional responsibilities and tasks. Communicate needs and ideas to management.
Knowledgeable in the menu of food and beverage
Follows all safety and sanitation policies
Ability to suggestively sell and upsell.
Ability to adhere to alcohol service and consumption laws and standards to ensure the legal consumption and safety of our guests.
Performs side work as required
Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize work assignments
Weekend availability. Schedule for this position is not set. Must be able to flex schedule based on business demands.
Must be able to communicate effectively
Have excellent time management skills
Must be able to foster an environment where teamwork is valued & practiced.
Must approach problem solving with a solutions-based perspective , using common sense & good judgment
Self motivated – sets a high standard for organization & customer service

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to be proactive and innovative with guests and in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
 
WORK CONDITIONS/MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
There is constant physical contact with food. Washing hands and arms is mandatory. General hygiene such as brushing teeth, daily shower, clean uniform and deodorant is mandatory.
