Accounts Payable

Position Overview: 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling vendor accounts. Responsibilities:
Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Verify invoice details, including pricing, quantities, and payment terms, and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Prepare and perform weekly or monthly check runs and electronic payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and files.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a timely manner.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounts payable policies and procedures.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in accounts payable or related finance role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (knowledge of QuickBooks, SAP, SAGE, ERP, etc. is a plus).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
