Job Description:
The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the credit granting process of our company. This role involves conducting detailed credit analyses, setting credit limits, managing and collecting debts, and maintaining the companys credit policy.
Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers, set credit ceilings, and manage credit scoring and credit checking.
Debt Collection: Oversee customer billing and cash receipts processing. Implement effective recovery strategies and manage the collection process.
Credit Policy Management: Develop and implement the companys credit policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Reporting: Prepare reports detailing the credit status of customers. Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
Team Management: Manage and train credit control teams. Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Credit Manager or similar role.
Strong understanding of lending procedures and laws.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
