Position Overview: 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. This role will involve assisting with accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and providing general administrative support to the finance department.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions including verifying invoices, obtaining approvals, and entering data into the accounting system.
Prepare and process vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
Assist with accounts receivable functions such as invoicing, posting payments, and reconciling customer accounts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data entry, and answering inquiries.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelors degree in accounting or related field preferred.
1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
