We work closely with national and local governments, international and regional standards organisations, heating industry colleagues, training providers and certification bodies.

Role Overview:

The Technical Manager is a pivotal role within the organization, leading a small team to deliver technical services. Reporting to the Technical Director, the Manager collaborates across departments, providing technical input for strategic aims, projects, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Line Management:

Lead and manage a small team, fostering a culture aligned with the company's objectives.

Technical Service Delivery:

Collaborate with the Technical Director for routine and enhanced technical services.
Manage technical personnel, ensuring duties are fulfilled and standards maintained.

Information Management:

Oversee technical information production, including updates to manuals, standards, notices.
Manage delivery of Consultancy Services and Direct function.

Collaboration and Support:

Collaborate with staff at all levels, providing technical input for company-wide functions.

General Activities:

Personnel Development:

Support, mentor, guide technical personnel for optimized performance.
Conduct regular training sessions for skill enhancement.

Industry Research:

Research, interpret, relay technical industry requirements for installation and maintenance practices.

Project Assistance:

Assist the Technical Director in projects, ensuring technical requirements are met.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

Work with the management team on cross-departmental matters.

Meetings and Documentation:

Chair, participate, provide secretariat in internal and external meetings.
Prepare technical information for reports, manuals, bulletins, etc.

Events and Communication:

Participate in webinars, shows, and events, involving potential travel and overnight stays.
Communicate effectively within and outside the organization.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities:

Perform other duties agreed upon by the Technical Director.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Proven leadership, effective communication, and task management skills.
Track record in a technical environment related to heating and/or electrical engineering.
Success in delivering projects and tasks within specified timelines.
Ability to interpret and relay requirements from building regulations, EU, British Standards.
Desirable Attributes:

Hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting heating systems.
Confidence, organizational skills, proficiency in people and resource management.
Positive approach, open to exploring efficient ways of working.
Understanding and experience with the Microsoft Office package.
