AECOM is actively seeking an Entry Level Hydrogeologist for employment in our Long Beach, California office to support soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects.  The ideal candidate will be willing and able to learn new skills and methods while working on challenging field and office assignments in a collaborative team environment. 
This position is expected to begin in June 2024.
Candidate will gain experience in their discipline through learning on the job and participate in development opportunities enabling professional growth. Candidate will complete field tasks, including site investigations, drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sample collection, remediation system data collection, and related work. The candidate will also provide office support for data management, report preparation, and maintain the required AECOM-related documentation and forms.

Tasks will include:
Conducting environmental field work, including soil logging, soil and groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of field surveys, oversight of soil borings and well installation, well development and rehabilitation operations, utility clearance for intrusive operations, and aquifer testing.
Field document preparation and field data collection, processing, and interpretation.
Supporting office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.
Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems working with senior technical staff.
Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories. 
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, and compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. 
Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
