Summary
St. Joseph Center provides a diverse array of services throughout the Los Angeles County, providing opportunities to unhoused adults in a safe, private, and secured environment.  Program participants are empowered to build stability and self-sufficiency while obtaining services in any of St. Joseph Center programs.  Each site offers a welcoming, safe environment provided by all staff members with a variety of supportive services. St. Joseph Center promotes a team-oriented culture that values communication, collaboration and coordination.  Sites will be staffed and operated seven days per week, 24 hours per day with on-site security services.

Essential Duties:  
Provides leadership and guidance to Safety Ambassador and is an integral part of a multidisciplinary care team responsible for the care, welfare, safety, and security of participants during their stay. 
Creates Safety Ambassador schedule, approves timesheets, and ensure that there is adequate Safety Ambassador coverage at each site during your shift.  If for any reason, overtime may be needed, advance approval from the Director is required.
Review timesheets for staff on your shift to ensure that every team member is adhering to all agency timekeeping policies and procedures.
Serve on an on-call basis on weekends and holidays, should there be a need to consult regarding any coverage or safety issues at sites.
Raises any concerns regarding Safety Ambassador attendance and job performance to the Assistant Vice President and Human Resources for consultation and next steps.
Ensure fair procedures and practices are continuously followed, as well as safety within the site. 
See that Safety Ambassadors provide information and referrals to program participants, as needed or requested. 
Ensure that Safety Ambassadors distribute meals, clothing, linens, toiletries, and any other items supplied by the program as needed. 
Report any maintenance or janitorial needs to the Assistant Vice President or Director in a timely manner. 
Conduct site checks and ensure that Safety Ambassadors document findings on the site, neighborhood, and that staff conduct perimeter checks on an hourly basis or sooner throughout each shift.
Handle all emergencies by contacting appropriate staff or agencies. Conduct business according to the employee handbook exercising judgement and serving the best interests of the clients, agency and community. 
Debrief with members of the treatment team on a continuous basis to ensure open communication and full transparency.
Partner with staff during wellness checks.
Document all client safety and health incidents according to agency protocols, with a detailed and thorough understanding of the situation.
Partner with program staff by consistently implementing and following all program policies, procedures, and protocols.
 
General :  
Assist with office-related tasks as needed. 
Attend all mandatory meetings, workshops, and training. 
Training must be completed no later than 90 days of employment: Pro-Act; Trauma Informed Care; HIPAA; and Professional Boundaries, all others deemed necessary for the requirement of the position.
