We are hiring for Monday-Friday shifts. Our cooks will be accountable to the culinary team for overall success of the daily kitchen operations through assistance and support to the management team of the operation. Ability to apply previous culinary experiences as well as precisely following directives to ensure a consistent, superior quality product is produced at all times. Performs well under pressure in a unique and fast paced environment. Is flexible and able to adjust quickly to the immediate needs of the operation or as directed. Works to continually improve the guest and employee experience through personal and professional contributions. Must ensure sanitation and food safety standards are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently and accurately set up and break down assigned workstation according to instructions.
Prioritize and multitask effectively, managing a prep list based on business needs and timelines.
Operate a variety of kitchen equipment, including industrial ovens, stoves, grills, steamers, mixers, slicers, and fryers, with precision and care.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as portioning, chopping, weighing, and mixing, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Utilize a range of culinary techniques to prepare both hot and cold foods to perfection, following recipes and guidelines as directed.
Conduct proper tests to ensure foods are cooked to the required standard of quality and safety.
Prepare special meals or substitute items with precision and attention to detail.
Serve prepared foods in appropriate portions and on proper wares, maintaining presentation standards as directed.
Strict adherence to food quality and safety standards at all times.
Ensure proper labeling, dating, and rotation of food items to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area, including surfaces, equipment, and tools, following established protocols.
Uphold company policies and procedures related to safety and security, promptly reporting any concerns to management.
Present a clean and professional appearance, while maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding company assets.
Interact with guests courteously and professionally, addressing concerns and inquiries with confidence or escalating to management as needed.
Foster positive relationships with team members, collaborating to achieve shared goals and deliver outstanding service.
Communicate effectively using clear and professional language in all interactions.
APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday 8 am to 2 pm
Open availability a plus! Scheduling is posted to reflect business needs (shifts may be longer or vice versa, and may change based on business needs).
Requirements
Prior experience in food handling or kitchen operations is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and reaching.
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing needs and perform additional tasks as required.
