Job Description: As the IT Systems Manager, you will be integral to ensuring our IT infrastructure supports our vision of seamless and innovative guest experiences. This role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our IT systems across various properties, ensuring all technology solutions enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. You will report directly to the Director of IT and work closely with management teams at each location to tailor technology solutions that meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure and Systems Oversight:
Design and implement robust IT solutions that support the smooth operation of hotel services and guest interactions.
Manage and ensure the performance of all IT systems, including property management systems, guest booking systems, and internal communication networks.
Regularly evaluate technology trends and propose information systems enhancements to improve guest services and operational efficiency.
Strategic Technology Leadership:
Develop strategic plans for the IT department that align with overall business goals of enhancing guest experience and operational productivity.
Collaborate with executive management to integrate technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of the hospitality industry.
Spearhead major IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Security Management and Compliance:
Ensure all IT systems comply with international standards and local regulations pertaining to data security and guest privacy.
Implement comprehensive cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive guest and corporate data from potential threats.
Conduct regular security audits and establish protocols for disaster recovery and data backup to minimize risks.
Team Management and Development:
Lead a diverse team of IT professionals; recruit, mentor, and motivate staff across multiple locations.
Develop training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge in emerging technologies relevant to the hospitality industry.
Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the IT department.
Vendor Management and Technological Partnership:
Negotiate and manage contracts with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants to ensure cost-effective procurement of technology solutions.
Build strong partnerships with technology providers to keep abreast of innovations that can drive enhancements in guest services.
Operational Support and Enhancement:
Provide ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting support for all systems, ensuring high standards of availability and reliability.
Optimize IT operations to support key business areas such as guest services, operations, and administration.
Coordinate with property managers to customize technology solutions that meet the specific operational challenges of each location.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; additional certifications in hospitality management or systems security a plus.
Experience:
At least 8 years of experience in IT management, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the hospitality industry.
Proven track record of managing IT infrastructures across multiple locations and improving systems with technology-driven solutions.
Skills:
Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, data security, and systems integration in a hospitality context.
Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with and influencing various levels of management.
Benefits
Compensation:
Salary: $140,000 - $220,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications.
