* Demonstrate thought leadership to drive revenue growth for SmartNews and drive building Ad Direct Sales Strategy
* Define SmartNews Ads value proposition for advertisers and agencies
* Build partnerships with advertisers and agencies and identify new advertisers
* Drive innovation by building relationships and working effectively cross-functionally to help audience development and growth strategies that lead to revenue growth
* Designing new business processes
* Communicate effectively with senior executives and key stakeholders: build and update overall ad revenue strategy and plans, as well as resulting performance and projections for Direct Sales business
* Manage and bring on top talent to help with revenue objectives
* 8+ years of relevant ads industry experience, with 5+ years in digital ad sales and 3+ years of management experience
* 3+ years experience in an internet service company and worked closely with the product team and engineering team
* Prior experience taking Revenue ownership for the ad sales business, successfully exceeding the top line and managing expenses to plan
* In depth knowledge of and relationships within the digital media publishing and ad tech space and can knock the door of 20+ national brands and agencies
* Prior experience leading and growing a digital sales team
* Proven ability to develop, structure, and execute business strategies, going beyond just tactics to the vision - predicting industry trends and allowing the business to stay ahead of the curve as digital media continues to evolve
* Love being strategic, but just as importantly, rolling up your sleeves to be hands-on with the day-to-day business
* Strong financial, operational, and analytical skills
* Have international working experience and can enjoy a culturally diverse environment
