We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for an experienced Construction Management Team Leader who has cultivated not only their skills in construction management and leadership, but also a strong entrepreneurial and business development background.
This opportunity will allow you to lead business development and key relationships with CDOT and local agencies to continue our growth, presence, and reputation in the Denver and Northern Colorado regions.
The ideal person for this role will have strong leadership, business development, project, people management skills, and the ability to champion the Basis culture.
This position will work closely with our Construction Management and Inspection Practice Lead, Derek Phipps, in identifying strategic pursuits, managing and developing client relationships, and the department and organizational planning needed to develop and meet goals and objectives of the practice area, now and in the future.
As a Construction Management Team Leader at Basis, you will lead projects and project teams by inspiring excellence, guiding, and ensuring quality, coordination, project administration, and contract management for a variety of transportation-related projects.

LOCATION: Ideally, you will be located in the Denver, Colorado or surrounding area in order to facilitate easy access to clients and projects, and to promote your work/life balance. As the business grows in the Denver/Northern Colorado market, there will be an opportunity to support opening an office in the Denver area as we grow.
LICENSURE, and PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:
P.E. license (State of Colorado or the ability to obtain Colorado licensure).
10+ years' experience in the following:
Expert knowledge and experience in Transportation Construction Management and associated successful Business Development.
Deep, extensive relationships with agencies and industry partners across the Front Range.
State (e.g., CDOT)/local agency experience required. Aviation experience a plus.
Successful leadership of teams to deliver complex transportation construction management based on significant past experience managing similar teams and projects.
Developing talent within departments such as setting goals, objectives, performance feedback, and career development guidance.
Identifying talent outside of organization for future hires that embrace Basis values and culture.
Successfully building business relationships and associated opportunities through regular communication with clients, strategic pursuits, teaming partner firms, planning for long-term growth and workload, attendance at conferences and marketing events, and engagement with industry organizations.
 TRAVEL:
Frequent travel to job sites, client offices, and other meeting places. 
Required to hold and maintain a valid driver’s license, appropriate auto insurance coverage (per Basis Vehicle Policy) and an acceptable driving record.
 WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work will be performed with a blend of office, project sites, and other meeting places (e.g., client offices).  Project site visits can involve hazards including exposure to changes in temperature (seasonal), inclement weather, dust, fumes, gases, traffic, slope, water, water way, and trains.
