AECOM is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to be based in our Denver, CO or Colorado Springs, CO office.

Job Summary/Responsibilities
• Contribute to the Structural Engineering practice in the Denver Buildings and Places team
• Assist with and/or lead the design of buildings and other structures in a variety of markets, such as commercial, government and institutional, and infrastructure
• Team with engineers and other staff to complete projects on schedule, staying within given scope and budget
• Coordinate with other engineering and architecture disciplines in producing construction documents
• Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, specifications, reports, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for a variety of projects
• Perform construction administration tasks as contracts require, including coordinating with construction professionals, reviewing shop drawings, visiting sites, and answering RFI’s
• Perform work including a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
• Occasionally be responsible for reviewing the designs and calculations of other engineers
• Occasionally provide guidance and/or mentorship to less-experienced engineers
• Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed
• Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
