Job Summary
As a Systems Engineer, this role will be responsible for providing high level, prioritized technical support and continuous operation of wireless network services. This position will follow a customer centric approach to troubleshooting and providing service solutions in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, implementation, network technologies, processes and collaboration in a large enterprise environment. This position is located on-site in Denver and will require all candidates to live to in the Denver metro area. All candidates must be fully authorized to work in the United States, without requiring sponsorship or C2C.
Duties & Responsibilities
Exceptional technical support to monitor and improve customer’s wireless service experience.
Assess and resolve wireless service impairments using fundamental knowledge of IP routing, wireless access and infrastructure systems related to defects encountered in configuration item modifications or deployments.
Contribute to the development of internal support processes, documentation, and procedures.
Provide articulate verbal and/or written impact assessments to management with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Actively pursue high standards of network and system performance and availability.
Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to proactively identify and resolve potential system, network and customer impacts in maintenance windows.
Create detailed documentation and utilize your knowledge of network security best practices daily.
Work with OSS applications and software and other technologies as requested.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role with 4-7 years of proven experience
Experience with Support Center or Data Center work is necessary.
Must be available to work on call rotations with other Systems Engineers in the department.
Demonstrable experience troubleshooting and resolving network service impairments. 
Experience with large distributed networks and MSO / Wireless Operators.
Proficient using multiple, industry standard, operating system environments including Linux, Cisco IOS/NX-OS, JunOS, VMWare.
Proficiency leveraging packet-analysis tools and network analytics platforms to troubleshoot or characterize network traffic.
Knowledge and exposure to and functional knowledge of IP routing, and routing protocols
Familiarity with the following equipment is a plus: Cisco UCS, Ruckus vSZ/SCG/ZD, Cisco WLC, Cisco Nexus/ASR, Nokia 7750, Netscout Infinistream.
Demonstrated knowledge across all layers of the OSI model.
Experience supporting 5G and 5G Core and Wireless Core as well as large system deployments
Strong knowledge of system design and implementation
Knowledge of tools and ticketing systems- Splunk, Net Scout, Wireshark, Remedy
CCNA- Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification is highly preferred
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills focused on delivering customer solutions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with, collaborate, and deliver messaging to numerous stakeholders and teams
Compensation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a contract role that is temp-perm of 3-6 months on contract, then the ability, if qualified and agreed upon, to become a full time employee position. This role is expected to pay $65-75/hourly to start. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
