Summary
Responsible for ensuring all accounting functions are completed timely, accurately, and within financial regulations and reporting requirements to keep the company in compliance with internal and external standards.  Collaborate with leadership to craft and enforce accounting policies.  Manage the accounting staff and promote an atmosphere of teamwork that is aligned with Eastern’s core values of Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Commitment, and Dependability.
                                                     
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
 
Responsibilities
Timely preparation and distribution of financials, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements
Prepare and maintain budgets and forecasts
Manage Customer Credit and Accounts Receivable functions.
Manage Accounts Payable function
Manage Rebates Receivable and Rebates Payable
Insurance
P&C
Workers Comp
Other
Banking relationships
Treasury management
Ensure timely filing of tax payments
Manage year-end review and audits
Assist with corporate financial decisions
Ensure GAAP compliance
Initiate and manage Continuous Improvement (CI) projects for the department and collaborate with Managers and Executives to facilitate interdepartmental CI projects
Identify cost saving opportunities
Track the performance of individuals and develop and implement strategies to improve performance.
Miscellaneous projects as assigned

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year College or University and a master’s degree (MBA) and/or CPA are preferred; plus three to five years related experience to include management experience. 
 
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual will demonstrate expertise with the Microsoft Office suite, exhibiting exceptional skills with the use of Excel.  Knowledge of Crystal Reporting, BisTrack, Great Plains, Adaptive Insight, or other ERP software a plus.
