North Park University, a member of the College Conference of Illinois, would like to announce that applications are now being accepted for the position of Head Men’s Volleyball Coach.  This twelve-month, full-time position directs all aspects of an NCAA Division III men’s volleyball program including recruitment, retention, coaching, scheduling, team travel, and budgeting.

Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the men’s volleyball program at North Park University.
Analyze performance and instruct athletes in volleyball techniques and strategies in preparation for and during athletics competition.
Execute match and practice planning/evaluation, including video exchange and breakdown. 
Manage all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting.     
Ensure a commitment to the academic success of volleyball student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.
Provide on-site coaching in tournaments and practices, including organization and implementation of daily training schedules for all team members.
Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
Participate in fundraising and development events and be highly visible in the community.
Hire, supervise, develop, and evaluate part-time, volunteer, or graduate assistant coaches.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Sport Management, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors.   
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree is required. 
Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of volleyball at the intercollegiate level are required.
Applicants must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends).
Able to lift and move athletic equipment.
Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.
