A mid-sized accounting firm committed to providing exceptional client accounting services is currently recruiting a talented individual to join their team as a Tax Senior.
Reports to: Tax Manager
Key responsibilities:
First year seniors 70% review and 30% preparation, experienced seniors 100% review of tax returns for Partnerships (1065), and S and C-corps (1120), Individuals (1040) and others, as assigned.
Handle routine client tax questions, research tax issues, and work with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
Assist in tax field exams and any tax notice resolutions.
Recognize and inform senior management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients.
Assist with training and developing staff and interns.
Manage a team of 3.
Key experience and skills:
CPA license or pursuing a CPA (eligible to sit with 150 credit hours)
2+ years of experience in public accounting at a mid-market firm (no Big 4 candidates)
Experience in tax review, preparation and returns for Partnerships, S and C-corps and Individuals
Client experience in: Manufacturing, real estate, professional services, restaurant, and retail.
Bachelors degree in accounting.
2+ years of experience in public accounting industry at a mid-market firm
