Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a full time Program Manager/Department Deputy, which is part of the Remediation East regional team. Primary projects include serving municipalities, state, industrial, and power sector clients in the southeast on a wide variety of remediation projects including PFAS, chlorinated solvent sites, sediment, MGP, landfill groundwater monitoring and modeling, and other contaminated site management activities. 
In addition, the group provides Geosciences, Geotechnical engineering, Civil engineering and permitting services for industrial development, transportation projects, substations, pipelines and a variety of remediation projects.
The ideal candidate is a project manager with experience on complex technical projects with experience with due diligence, RI/FS, permitting, or design of remedial systems and complex remedies. 
The job responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Serve as a Deputy Department/Area Manager, supporting a team of 70 employees 
Provide outstanding technical, financial, and quality delivery to meet profitability plan and win repeat business. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction across the Practice
Achieve personal utilization goal
Achieve department utilization goals by assisting staff to stay busy, connecting them with various projects/PMs, load leveling across technical teams
Understand how your team is performing by soliciting timely feedback throughout the year.
Grow technical, operational, and marketing talent while providing mentorship and career development to foster a high-performing and engaged technical team
Work to establish and maintain a healthy Practice morale across team
Cultivate entry to mid-level staff within the Area by establishing and maintaining internal network
Manage mentorship program
•Oversee program related activities for smaller programs or a defined part of a larger program, in support of the overall Program Manager.
•Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at the program level or for elements of a program.
•Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
•Supports innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.
•Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact program outcomes.
•Contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.
•Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise.
•Proposes skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.
•Actively supports the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise.
•Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.
