Job Description SummaryThe Manufacturing Supervisor manages day to day manufacturing activities to ensure goals are accomplished and communication occurs within the group and across all functions/shifts. This includes providing leadership in day to day manufacturing operation activity, employee career development, and overall coaching support to the manufacturing team. Duties and Responsibilities Job Description - Must be able to work 1stShift - 400 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - rotating weeks 2 on-2 off-3 on -2 off - Will also be responsible for the control of all material flows, manufacturing operations, and the supervision of the various teams. - Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with manufacturing operations - Provides training to associates including on-boarding and/or new procedures - Leads continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiency - Leads and/or provides support on special projects - Provides coaching to associates on day-to-day activities and performance - Responsible for assigning and distributing workloads - Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) - Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures and safety policies and procedures Qualifications Minimum Experience/Education - Bachelor degree with 1 year manufacturing experience OR Associate degree with 5 years manufacturing experience OR High school degree with preferably 10 years manufacturing experience, along with a prefer 2 years team lead experience. Must have experience working in Food, Pharma or Industrial production settings in a regulated environment (FDA) - Must be able to work 1stShift - 400 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - rotating weeks 2 on-2 off-3 on -2 off - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to seek and accept feedback from others. - Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to share knowledge with others. - Knowledge of regulatory requirements, process validations, safe work practices, and ISO 9000 requirements. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Must be capable of sharing knowledge and developing associates. - Ability to work with all levels of personnel from company president to production associates. - Ability to plan at a high level, but execute at the detail level. - Understanding of SAP (PP/PE) preferred.
