Minim is looking for an External Reporting and Technical Accounting Senior Manager, who is hands-on technical accounting leadership within our finance organization, primarily focusing on external reporting. Primary responsibilities include month-end close reviews, documentation of technical accounting assessments, preparation of periodic SEC filings, development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls, and implementation of new systems. The position requires high energy, results oriented person with strong technical accounting skills responsible for high quality financial reporting in a multi-task environment and always strives to improve and streamline processes and methods for the broader benefit of the Finance team and the Company. The role reports directly into the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities
● Oversee and prepare SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
● Research and draft technical accounting memos
● Draft, maintain, and ensure compliance to Company financial policies and procedures
● Manage financial and reporting controls, including SOX documentation and adherence
● Manage and coordinate customer contract reviews for preferrable terms and accounting treatment
● Review monthly and quarterly accounting reconciliations, and provide monthly reporting package
● Assist with the management of quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors
● Manage special projects as they arise and always seek to improve processes and methods with the underlying goal of simplification and efficiency
Qualifications
● Bachelors Degree (B.A./B.S.) in accounting or equivalent
● Public Accounting experience required (minimum 4 years), with experience in SEC filings
● Certified Public Accountant license preferred
● Strong understanding of financial reporting under US GAAP
● Experience and strong understanding of internal controls
● Strong project management and attention to detail
● Very proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Quick learner and problem solvers when faced with new issues or challenges
● Fosters teamwork across the organization and ability to build partnerships in a collaborative environment
● Demonstrate sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and build a range of meaningful recommendations
