Responsibilities
Schedule initial and follow-up appointments for patients undergoing LASIK and other refractive surgeries
Follow up with prospective patients to answer any questions, provide cost estimates, and schedule consultation appointments
Collaborate with physicians and clinical team to ensure seamless patient experience
Educate patients on preoperative and postoperative instructions, including medication use and restrictions
Maintain accurate documentation and complete patient records in electronic medical records system
Handle patient concerns and complaints in a professional manner and escalate as necessary
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Minimum 2 years of medical office experience required, experience in elective (cosmetic, dentistry, laser vision correction) scheduling preferred
Knowledge of basic medical terminology, procedures, and pharmacology
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound judgments
Excellent communication and follow-up skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff
