Responsibilities
Erect and install structural steel components according to blueprints and specifications
Perform welding and bolt-up activities as required to secure structural elements
Use a variety of tools and equipment to fabricate, measure, and cut steel beams and columns
Safely operate cranes and aerial lifts to lift and position structural components
Conduct inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations
Collaborate with other team members, such as welders, fabricators, and engineers, to complete projects on time and within budget
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Iron Worker in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of structural steel components and their installation processes
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Demonstrated ability to safely operate cranes, aerial lifts, and other construction equipment
Excellent welding and bolt-up skills
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Be able to pass background and drug test
