Align ENT + Allergy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Providence ENT. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within our physician-led ENT and Allergy practices.
We are looking for a candidate to join our busy ENT and Allergy Practice at Providence ENT. We have 3 locations: Media, Glen Mills, and Chester, PA.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering patient care, providing support to ensure efficient and smooth clinic flow.
Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and setting up and assisting with procedures. Examples of these procedures include (but not limited to): local biopsies , incision and drainage of peritonsillar abscesses, ear lobe repair, foreign body removals, fine needle aspirates, sinus debridement, cerumen removal and nosebleeds.
Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records. Assists with scheduling tests and treatments, which includes patient instructions and obtain necessary precertification from insurance companies.
Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment, including sterilization.
Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers.
Perform basic laboratory tests, such as phlebotomy and specimens collection, and correctly record results.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and self-care instructions.
In the Media and Brinton Lake office, completes consent forms for surgery and provides basic pre-op and post-op instruction.
Orders and maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Attends departmental and staff meetings and participates on committees as requested.
Maintains professional certifications to include Medical Assistant certification, CPR certification.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical practice or clinic setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Reliable Transportation and ability to travel to all 3 office locations

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
