Overview:
The Deal Desk Analyst reports to the Manager of Pricing Execution with a goal to support continual efforts to optimize negotiations of competitive price proposals. This role partners with Sales, Customer Service, and Product Managers to drive regional market pricing strategy. As a member of the Deal Desk team the responsibilities for this position include analyze and assess special price deviation proposals based on overall strategic revenue and gross margin targets. The position will also be responsible to provide special price recommendations to sales teams that advance the ability of commercial leadership to accomplish profitable growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Analyze and assess special price deviation proposals based on overall strategic revenue and gross margin region / product targets
· Function as a member of the Deal Desk team responsible to provide special price recommendations to sales teams under the guidance of Pricing Manager and Pricing Director
· Ensure that special price policies and procedure are adhered to in special price proposal deviation process
· Apply competitive and market price information to special price deviation assessment
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, customer service and product management to gather insights and align special price deviation execution
· Participate in pricing software implementation by performing testing of pricing functionality of planned systems upgrades
· Support in the development of pricing guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and effective execution of special price deviations across the organization
· Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements related to pricing strategies & technology
