Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician. Under general supervision, this position will perform a wide variety of engineering duties in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment.
Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs.
Monitors all operating equipment and systems (boilers, chillers, AHU's, pumps, water heaters, cooling towers, etc.) to ensure they are operating properly and safely at maximum efficiency.
Performs engineering rounds and checks equipment for proper operating functionality and performs minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
Performs corrective maintenance duties including, but not limited to: replacement and repair of ceiling tiles, drywall, floor tile, cover base, light fixtures, bulbs, lamps, and door hardware.
Reviews work order reports to ensure accuracy of documentation processing and resolves discrepancies in accordance with departmental procedures.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
Minimum two (2) years experience as an engineering services technician
Knowledge of safety practices in handling of tools and machinery
Knowledge of hazardous materials and proper handling of such materials
