Coffman Engineers is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with three or more years of working experience, who is passionate about their craft, wants to work on a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multi-discipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.  
You would be providing our clients with: automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design, life-safety code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis and special inspection as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
Compensation and Benefits:
Approximate Base Salary – $85,000.00 - $(phone number removed) based on experience.
Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change).
401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.
Skills, Knowledge, and abilities:
Design and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.
Assist in managing CAD and production efforts.
Perform consulting services for internal clients, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills, including but not limited to: automatic suppression system design; fire detection, alarm and communication system design; code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant construction analysis; smoke control analysis; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
Able to work independently as well as part of high function teams.
Possess intermediate level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer‐aided drafting and Revit, (fire dynamic simulation for fire protection engineers).
Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
Able to multi‐task and prioritize in a fast‐paced environment.
Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
