Job Description
AECOM Water is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. This position is specifically focused on managing large conveyance and treatment projects for our municipal water clients in Orange, CA. As a Municipal Water Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of these projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A strong background in project management, working with clients, and a passion for delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions is expected.
The selected candidate will be responsible for working together with our teams to support the delivery of large-scale municipal water and/or wastewater projects, with a value exceeding $10 million in services. Working closely with the lead Project Manager, you will contribute to the successful execution of these complex municipal projects, ensuring that all aspects are effectively coordinated and managed. Furthermore, you may independently manage one or more moderately complex municipal water projects, which may involve a combination of tasks such as design, construction, procurement, and stakeholder management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Support delivery on large ($>10M in services), complex municipal water and/or wastewater projects in conjunction with the lead Project Manager; may also manage one or more moderately complex projects, involving a combination of the following:
Responsible for the coordination and completion of all phases of projects (from beginning to close out) on time within budget and within scope.
Works mostly independently but receives support from a more experienced Project Manager on specific assignments, objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
Support and/or lead municipal project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and procurement representatives.
May supervise mid to junior-level engineers on multi-disciplinary projects
Prepare documentation related to current or prospective projects, including correspondence, reports, proposals, and technical specifications
Communicate and work with other project team members in Orange, Los Angeles, and other regional offices to provide quality service to clients on projects of varying scope and complexity
Liaise with and assist other departments and offices in the provision of design services to other clients, as applicable
Participates in the interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
Performs quality control review of design calculations, specifications, or drawings
