Job Summary The Manager of Technology Sourcing is responsible for corporate and property technology sourcing activity with a focus on Telecom, Wireless, Digital, Marketing and Call Center supplier categories. In addition to managing our current suppliers and programs, this role will work closely with various stakeholders to identify the appropriate provider(s) for products and services required to fulfill technology initiatives and standards. Responsibility 1. Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to identify, negotiate and implement next generation technology related programs with a focus on Telecom, Wireless, Digital, Marketing and Call Center categories. 2. Manage existing technology suppliers and programs via tasks such as identifying and negotiating cost reductions and controls, assessment and execution of vendor and contract consolidation, with ongoing management of the overall relationship. 3. Work collaboratively with legal & contract administrators to ensure agreements are executed within established timeframes. 4. Develop strong relationships with internal operations leaders and teams as well as with suppliers. 5. Represent Wyndham at all technology sourcing related forums. Scope/Financial Responsibility - Participate in sourcing of all corporate and property technology with minimum target savings of $3M annually. - Grow property vendor partnerships that deliver quality products and services at competitive pricing that also provide incremental revenue to Wyndham to fund marketing and central technology support services. - Identify opportunities to extend specific sourcing and procurement efforts across the enterprise. Travel Requirements 1 - 3 domestic trips per year to visit internal clients in other sites; for conferences or meetings; for training purposes. Trips typically 1- 3 days' in duration. 6 -10 local (NY/NJ/PA metro area) day trips to participate in conferences, training, vendor-sponsored events, etc. Competencies - Deeper Knowledge of technology products, preferably in hospitality or related industry. - Ability to understand and articulate technology in the Information Technology industry, preferably in hospitality or related industry. Education & Experience a) Education: BA/BS b) Knowledge and skills: Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, excellent written and oral communications skills, positive attitude. Comfortable with contracting/legal terms and conditions, standard applications and usage. c) Technical Skills: Must have strong familiarity with hotel/hospitality related technologies and major providers. d) Job experience: 3 - 5 years technology Sourcing or Procurement experience; Property & Guest Room technology experience or related industry preferred (i.e. retail, franchised based business units). Complexity a) Make 'go/no-go' decisions regarding pursuit of broader engagements (translate local engagement into enterprise engagement); decisions regarding which providers to support/engage/introduce to BU leadership b) Must work with minimal supervision c) Good decision making, incorrect decisions or bad advice could have significant cost and revenue implications d) No direct reports initially; eventually, as dept. grows, this position may supervise one or more direct reports. Organizational Relationships - This position will interact with vendor account managers and their leadership on all pricing, contracts and technology opportunities. - This position will interact with business unit leaders and their direct reports on a regular basis and collaborate with them on their technology needs.
