Position Summary: Reporting to the Spices Vice President of Finance, the Controller will be responsible for managing and coordinating the monthly financial closing and related reporting, as well as the forecasting and budgeting processes for the Spices facilities located in New Mexico. The candidate will be charged with challenging the status quo, improving processes, providing accurate and timely information, and helping identify and execute opportunities. Position Responsibilities: Serve as a strategic Business Partner to multiple facilities. Produce month end close. Manage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, process order closure and allocations. Review perpetual inventory, monitor cycle and/or physical inventories, and reporting and analysis of variances. Provide audit support, both to internal and external teams. Perform cost account including standard cost estimates, product set-up, activity rates, work cells, and SKU profitability. Manage the sites financial reporting including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting and reporting for profit and loss (P & L), Spending and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Dashboard. Direct Internal Reviews by leading internal monthly meetings with Key Stakeholders. Manage new capital project analysis, capital tracking and management. Perform sales analysis and reconciliation, review margin analysis and customer pull rates. Create and modify financial policies to ensure proper internal controls that align and guide the business. Perform ad hoc analysis and scenario models. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. Candidates may substitute five (5) years of prior financial management experience in lieu of degree requirement. Seven (7) years progressive finance experience is required. Candidates substituting experience in lieu of degree must have a minimum of twelve (12) years of financial experience, including the five in management. Experience with SAP, Tableau, and other integrated reporting solutions is preferred. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required. Excellent teamwork, relationship building, and coordinative skills are required. Must be able to work with diverse team across geographies. Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
