Uncommon High School Athletic Directors cultivate a passion for an active lifestyle in every student by managing the high school’s athletic programming. Our Athletic Directors manage a wide array of responsibilities including, budgeting, training teachers, fundraising among many others.  We have built a community that encourages respect and hard work and celebrates students’ academic and nonacademic achievements. Our goal is for students to develop into strong teammates who are interested in and knowledgeable about healthy lifestyle habits.
Responsibilities
1.     Athletic Direction
You’ll manage and direct the school’s athletic program.
You’ll supervise the coordination of all school athletic events ensuring all activities and events are in line with the School District, NJSIAA Rules and Regulations and local leagues and conferences in which the team is participating. 
You’ll work with school administration to prepare a budget and allocate spending to both existing and new sports programs.
You’ll work with school administration in the recruitment of new staff and facilities. 
You’ll work with coaches to determine scheduling of games and practices.
You’ll evaluate coach performance, ensuring best practice which is in line with school culture.  
You’ll participate in revenue development planning and fundraising.
2.     School Culture
You’ll build positive relationships with students to ensure they feel seen, loved, and heard.
You’ll partner with students’ families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their child's learning needs.
You'll engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching sessions.
You'll participate in weekly, school-wide meetings to cultivate community, model our core values, and encourage student achievement.
You'll partner with your grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies.
