A top-tier AM 100 law firm is seeking a highly skilled Asset Finance Associate to join its New York, NY office. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex asset-backed financings, structured leasing transactions, secured lending, and cross-border financing matters for financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and corporate clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with AM 100 law firm experience, strong transactional skills, and a deep understanding of structured finance, asset securitization, and secured transactions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from a T-14 law school (Required).
Graduation Year Requirement: JD earned 2016-2022 (Mid-Level to Senior Associates Encouraged).
2-6+ years of experience handling asset-based financing, structured lending, leasing transactions, or project finance.
Prior Experience at an AM 100 or AM 200 Law Firm (Required).
Experience in:Asset-backed securitizations, equipment finance, and structured leasing transactions.
Representing lenders, borrowers, and investors in aviation, maritime, rail, and infrastructure financings.
Drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents, and intercreditor arrangements.
Compliance with UCC Articles 8 and 9, bankruptcy considerations, and collateral structuring.
Strong knowledge of international financing structures, cross-border transactions, and regulatory frameworks.
Exceptional Legal Writing & Research Skills with strategic problem-solving abilities.
Bar Admission in New York or eligibility to waive in.
Consistent Employment History with no unexplained gaps or frequent job-hopping.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $250,000 $450,000
