Marvin Love and Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of a confidential retail and wholesale organization. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial strategies and driving the business's financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop and monitor financial plans.
Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing recommendations based on financial performance and analysis.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team to enhance skills and capabilities.
Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure the financial health of the business.
This role requires a proactive financial leader with a strong background in retail and wholesale operations to contribute to the growth and profitability of the business.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a financial management role, with a focus on retail and wholesale operations.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
