Job Description
What you'll do:
At CNBC, Booking Producers work within a show unit to pitch ideas as well as book guests for a live show.
Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
Find and book compelling guests for the show, following booking protocols.
Maintain planning editorial calendar with important upcoming news events and book relevant guests in advance
Book guests for breaking news events (this may include early morning or after-hours outreach)
Implement work with guidance from Senior and Executive Producer.
Conduct pre-interviews of guests and identify key headlines for segment
Handle any necessary travel logistics for guests
Coordinate with guests and companies to secure guest headshots
Establish, develop and maintain good relationships with financial and business news sources.
Work with anchors on confirming their bookings and coordinating logistics
Book control room and edit time for pre-recorded guest segments
