The transformation team is focused on enabling best in class customer experience for our customers online and truly drive towards an Omnichannel experience. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for partnering closely with the Product Team to understand the initiatives to design and architect IT solutions that meet their needs. They will work closely with Development teams and act as a bridge between Product owners and Development teams to perform Proof of Concepts on provided design and technology, develop re-usable components etc. This is an important role in the organization which will help design the future state of technology at AESC and BlueSteps.
You must have experience:
* Delivering ecommerce applications end-to-end. This means delivering user interfaces, frontend and the backend code that makes it all come together, with a clear understanding of the cloud infrastructure and processes needed to support a customer-facing website.
* Leading digital software engineering teams to ship new features and services that delight customers and contribute directly to the success of the company.
* Working closely with product owners, UX designers and development team members to translate the product vision into a reality.
* Developing and documenting technical architecture and requirements.
* Assisting teams in delivering features end-to-end - this means writing/troubleshooting the front-end to design specifications and working with the development teams in enabling the back-end databases and integrations that make it all work.
* Experience with Drupal version upgrades and migrations.
* Experience working with AWS hosting.
Primary responsibilities:
* Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
* QA and monitoring of IT systems reliability, maintainability, and availability.
* Resolving technical problems as they arise.
* Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
* Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
* Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
* Architect will need to perform at least 30% hands on development tasks, primarily using Drupal, HTML and CSS.
* Hands-on experience in multiple web technologies, including but not limited to:
* C#, Java, , .Net core, JavaScript (jQuery, Vue.js), HTML, CSS frameworks (Bulma, Foundation), Python, React, PHP frameworks (Symfony), and SQL.
* Experience in software development concepts/methodology/lifecycle, Agile methodologies
* Cloud environments management and oversight
* IT vendor management
* IAM (identity and access management) for IT tools, systems, and platforms
* Technical oversight and support for content management systems and workflows
* Assisting admin team with internal IT and cybersecurity related work
* 5+ years building and delivering web-based applications
* Document application development processes and write requirements.
* Experience building, testing and delivering code to multiple test, development and production environments.
* Understanding of the web application development process, including compilation/building, unit testing, coding standards, and source control.
* Working with content management systems (preferably Drupal) in a web developer capacity
* Fully responsive full-stack development.
* Familiarity with major SEO, project management, and web analytics platforms, including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Search Console, JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.
* Experience working with technical PM tools (preferably JIRA and other Atlassian products such as Confluence and Bitbucket)
* Deep understanding of Google Core Web Vitals and Page Speed metrics, as well as strategies for achieving optimum performance.
* Experience with APIs and RESTful web services.
* Experience working with cloud-based environments (preferably AWS).
* Angular JavaScript, TypeScript HTML/CSS Headless Content Management Systems.
* Familiarity with Salesforce/Pardot.
* Experience working with remote & external teams.
* Managing web hosting environments, email services, DNS records.
* Managing internal technology infrastructure (PCs, networks, peripherals, network and endpoint security).
* Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, concepts, best practices.
