Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Utility Coordinator Engineer to support NCDOT and municipal construction projects. The position will be an embedded position at the NCDOT Division 7 offices in Greensboro, NC.
Responsibilities:
Provides utility coordination services for highway and bridge projects in the NCDOT Division 7 area which includes Guilford, Alamance, Rockingham, Caswell, and Orange counties.
Reads and interprets highway and bridge construction plans to coordinate public and private utility relocations to accommodate projects.
Performs a variety of tasks in support of highway and bridge construction activities. 
Activities may include inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications; maintaining project documentation; assisting with the inspections and/or oversight of building, repair, or maintenance of a structure, utility installations (power, gas, telephone, communications, water, and sewer), etc. 
Monitor and track day to day activities on multiple construction sites.
Adheres to client requirements for project administration, AECOM methods, AECOM Safety requirements, and AECOM Quality requirements.
Monitors subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promotes quality control of all installations, and method and action of installation meets all OSHA Safety Requirements.
Enforces AECOM's policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Project Management Team.
Relies on general to moderately complex knowledge of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish goals.
Additional Comments:
Weekend and night work may be required.
Overnight travels may be required (<5%)
