Safety Manager Duties and Responsibilities

Liaison between company and client safety personnel on matters concerning the safety and health of employees on site.
Ensure the project(s) assigned to you follows all of OSHA and Bonas Safety Policies and standards.
Perform periodic on-site safety audits to maintain compliance with Company, local, state, and federal regulations.
Receive safety requests, modify existing safety books and submit to client safety counterparts.
Track field employee certifications for OSHA 10 and 30, CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, Lift/ariel certifications.
Train/certify employees in lift/ariel equipment and other certifications.
Attain CHST level certification with Board of Certified Safety Professionals
Conduct job hazard analysis. Identify existing and predictable hazards and recommend feasible corrective measures.
Evaluate and determine proper use of specialty safety gear such as, but not limited to, atmospheric monitoring devices, air purifying respirators, supplied air respirators, man lifts, fall protection equipment, etc.
Responsible for insuring supervisors complete accident reports. Investigate incidents and ensure proficient reporting, identification of contributing factors, and recommend practices to eliminate future accidents, illnesses, equipment damages, and near miss incidents.
Work with Company Management and Superintendent in developing and conducting safety training sessions as necessary and appropriate.
