DIRECTOR OF NURSING

COMPETITIVE REMUNERATION PACKAGE
€65,000 -€85,000 p.a.
MONDAY TO FRIDAY ROLE PERMANENT
We are very excited to be working with a brand-new client in the Healthcare/Medical Sector, operating for almost 20 years, their team of NMBI Registered Nurses and QQI accredited Healthcare Assistants are skilled in providing compassionate individualised care for every resident. They are currently recruiting for the central role of Director of Nursing for their beautifully modern home in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care home manager to be an integral part of the organisations onward strategic vision. THE ROLE WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Lead in the delivery of resident care.
• Enhance the person-centred approach.
• Lead and manage an enthusiastic team to work to their potential.
• Work with the Director of Quality and Innovation and the Director of Nursing colleagues to develop policies, programs and evidence-based practice.
• Conduct internal audits and report on home KPI's
• Initial induction of staff and ongoing training and development of staff
• Encouragement of innovative practice
• Ensuring implementation and adherence to Company and HIQA standards.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR -CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Senior Nursing Management position in Care of the elderly (within the last 6 years) post-registration management qualification (QQI Level 6 minimum)
• Currently registered with NMBI
• Proven track record of clinical, leadership and people skills
• Thorough knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations and the 'HEALTH ACT 2007'
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
• Proven track record in decision-making ability
• Qualification in Gerontology is desirable
