Direct Counsel has partnered with an award-winning boutique law firm with offices in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and New York, is seeking a highly motivated Real Estate transactions paralegal to join their growing and collegial team. The law firm has a diverse transactional practice with a focus on commercial real estate, real estate finance, complex commercial lending transactions, workouts, insolvency, and technology transactions. We are looking for paralegal with 5-10 years of relevant real estate and finance experience. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to gain immediate and substantial client interaction and plenty of hands-on experience in a desirable environment.
Requirements
Loan document preparation
Negotiating Pro Forma Policies
Reviewing Organizational Documents
Preparation of Leases
Purchase and Sales Agreements (Prep of PSA and related documents, review of reports, closings for buyers and/or sellers)
Title Review
Redlining and Maintaining Checklists
Coordinating Closings and Preparing Closing Binders
Bankruptcy Support
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
Paralegal credentials
Excellent academic credentials and writing and research skills
5-10 years of transactions experience
Experience in commercial real estate/commercial real estate finance required
Experience with automotive lending, commercial real estate leasing and purchase & sale, general corporate matters (corporate formation and governance), creditor’s rights and/or bankruptcy, each a plus
Team player with a “can do” attitude
Able to multi-task and effectively prioritize responsibilities
Flexible and willing to pitch in wherever needed; deadline driven
Demonstrates a positive attitude and is approachable with a “can do” attitude
Adapts well to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities
Presents written communications that are concise and accurate
Exhibits confident and professional verbal communication skills
Effectively communicates with attorneys, staff and clients

Benefits
Compensation:
Salary range is $100,000 - $120,000. Benefits start the first day of the month following start date, including 401K participation.
