JOB SUMMARY
This CNC Machinist will Set Up and Operate machine tools to machine metallic and nonmetallic workpieces for the Aerospace Industry by performing the following duties below.
Machines we operate:
Swiss: Tsugami BS20 and SS32
Lathe:
Twin Spindle/Single Turret: Eurotech
Single Spindle/Single Turret: Mori Seki, Haas
Twin Spindle/Twin Turret: Eurotech and Mori Seki
Horizontal Milling: Mori Seki, Mori DMG and Enshu
Vertical Milling: Haas and Mori Seki
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of G&M Code is required for set up of the machines.
Required to set up and operate CNC machines using written instructions and set up sheets.
Responsible for setting up fixture and proving out programs for production to run.
Read and interpret process plans, blueprints, and part sketches to determine necessary machining, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
Ability to edit pre-written programs.
Ability to edit and troubleshoot programs for process improvements.
Observe numerical control displays on the control panel and compare with the data on the process plan to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.
Inspects first run pieces and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications using operation certification knowledge.
Utilizes various types of inspection instruments to check work per print.
Completes necessary job-related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents, and production log.
Perform basic equipment maintenance: proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans machine, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
10+ Years of Experience
Ability to read and interpret GD&T blueprints to the needed specification
Experience with Fanuc Controls
Ability to machine parts with extremely tight tolerances
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Strong work ethic: Willing to work OT to meet tight deadlines as needed.
Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.

COMPENSATION
Pay Rate: $24 - $28 per hour
