LPN / RN Charge Nurse Evening Shift

We are looking for a Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse to care for our long-term care or skilled residents in the Health Center. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. Compassion, composure, and dependability are a must. You will also be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote residents' well-being, which is achieved by providing high-quality nursing care and fostering a respectful and supportive environment among clinical staff.
Shift Details
Evening Shift: Monday - Friday, 2pm-10pm
Responsibilities
Monitor resident’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care
Perform routine procedures and maintain accurate records
Provides resident activity of daily living (ADL) support as needed.
Administer residents' medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders
Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
Supervise and train nursing assistants
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
Conducts investigations of resident incidents/accidents, and provides immediate interventions as needed.
Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
Notifies supervisor of change in condition when warranted.
Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
Maintains compliance with all personnel policies, established community policies and procedures, and Federal and State regulations and standards, including but not limited to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality laws. Understands and implements the Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Plan and evacuation procedures of the community during drills and actual emergencies.
Requirements
Proven experience as a licensed practical or registered nurse in long-term care and / or skilled nursing
Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsible and compassionate
Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
Valid nursing license in the State of Oklahoma
