Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Onsite Role
You will love working as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for this heavy equipment manufacturing company in Lafayette, Indiana.

If you have experience working as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in either the heavy equipment industry or the agricultural manufacturing industry or in a similar industry, this could be the perfect job for you.
In this exciting Senior Manufacturing Engineer role, you will identify, plan and lead continuous improvement projects that will help with the overall quality, velocity and cost goals of the manufacturing plant.
What you'll be doing:
Develop processes and procedures using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles.
Work to create, update Quality, manufacturing process that are used to manufacture heavy equipment products / components.
Hands on experience with equipment installation and the requisite work (foundations, utilities, hoists, fixtures, runoffs)
Software Tools / Skill Set – Microsoft Office Software Suite, AIAG APQP guidelines, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Lean Manufacturing. Capital Project experience, New Product Introduction, DFM, Virtual build, Team Center
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, at least 8 years of experience is preferred.
* Experience working in a factory environment in heavy equipment or the agricultural equipment industry is preferred.
* Previous Caterpillar work experience is not required, but is a definite plus for this role.
* Team player with good organizational skills, good communication skills, good interpersonal skills and an ability to priroitize tasks.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes like assembly, machining, welding, weld process, engneering drawing expertise, GD&T, PFMEA and APQP.
* Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with AIAG APQP guidelines, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Lean Manufacturing, Capital Project experience, New Product Introduction, DFM, Virtual build and Team Center.
