Bright Harbor Healthcare is looking for a specialist to join our dynamic billing team. We are seeking a candidate with billing experience and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
Position Title: Billing Specialist
Position Type: Temporary to possible permanent

Location: Bayville, NJ
Department: Billing/Administration
Responsibilities:
Create, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing
Complete the credentialing process with insurance companies for providers
Review patient records for appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes
Check eligibility and benefits verification
Follow up with third party payers regarding denials and payment discrepancies
Respond to inquiries and resolve billing issues from patients
Review claims reports daily accounting for outstanding balances
Collaborate with primary care provider to ensure accurate coding and billing
Maintain an organized, efficient and professional environment in compliance with HIPPA
Remain current with the latest coding and billing regulations/guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency required
Medical Billing and Coding certification preferred OR
Minimum of two years related experience in primary care and behavioral health billing
Credentialing experience preferred
Familiarity with insurance billing procedures and regulations
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in using electronic medical records and billing systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
