Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a Federal Client in the DC Metro Area. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are limited to the following:
Coordinating, and administering a group of projects or one major project from conceptual stages through all phases of the projects, with the assistance of the project team.
Drivingl performance of the project team and taking the lead in reporting and ensuring project completion within budget, schedule and in conformance with specifications. 
Reviewing contracts, scope documents, and available data for the project, and establishing schedules and budgets for compliance with project scope requirements and contract obligations. 
Taking  initiative in working with internal team members, and client departments including cost/scheduling, procurement, quality assurance, construction, contracts, legal, labor relations, finance, accounting and other services and departments as required to successfully manage projects. 
Providing an integrated project team approach in working with designers, contractors and governing agencies.
Reviewing and commenting on design submissions, change orders, and contracts/sub-contracts, and representing the client's interests to ensure control of and validating that change orders are current, fair and efficiently processed.
Reviewing comments received from governing agencies on behalf of the client and coordinating timely resolutions.
Proactively monitoring critical project milestone dependencies, and tracking actions which may result in risks to critical project milestones.
Reviewing project key performance indicators and forecasting any modifications to schedules, cost estimates, and financial reports, and effectively reconciling risks to commitments that may exceed assigned schedules and budgets.
Coordinating communications, stakeholder contacts and maintaining good working relationships. 
Monitoring and controlling contractual commitments to assure work being performed is in accordance with the specifications and terms of the contracts.
Reviewing builder submittals and RFI documents, and providing field surveillance to ensure the specified quality of design.
Conducting project coordination and client meetings as necessary to review progress and discuss upcoming work.
Working with stakeholders to negotiate and resolve conflicts, disputes, and potential claims on behalf of the client.
