Role Description
The purpose of this role is to support the Engineering Lead in delivering the CI Process tools, working closely with the PSM to identify proactive root cause analysis opportunities. The CI Engineer will lead for MBR, A3 and other fault reduction tools whilst ensuring all relevant H&S, Food Safety Standards and policies are considered. You will be responsible for managing and updating the relevant trackers to ensure the process is maintained.

Working hours Mon-Thurs 7:30 AM 4:00 PM and Friday 7:30 AM 3:30 PM
Key Accountabilities
Leadership
  • Lead for engineering fault finding activities
  • Lead the day to day delivery of the CI process through the site functions
  • Be an integral member of a team of multi-skilled stream experts to deliver and exceed targeted KPI s, focussed on a comprehensive fault finding and analysis process
Excellent Results
  • Support team with root cause identification and solutions designed to prevent repeated failures using lean tools and techniques
  • Liaise with department streams through Kaizens, understanding issues and setting plans to resolve
  • Communicate accurate and relevant information to departments and business
Problem Solving
  • Carry out technical reviews with PSM and Engineering Lead on core systems, working with suppliers to optimise cross site
  • Update/maintain all asset documentation as required such as machine settings, manuals, PLC backups, labelling & PPM schedules
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement and work closely with site Engineering team in implementation of improvements
Skills & Knowledge
  • Significant, relevant experience - obtained at least 5 years experience within a Manufacturing Company preferably FMCG.
  • Excellent leadership skills required with demonstrable history of leading change and influencing people to deliver sustainable results.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management and project management.
  • Can demonstrate a systematic approach to Health & Safety, Environmental Management and Planned Maintenance and Asset Management.
  • Motivated by the challenge of continuous improvement and changing environment.
Qualifications
  • Recognised qualification (NVQ level 3 or equiv) in mechanical and electrical engineering or relative degree
  • Appropriate Health and Safety Training.
