Job Summary Functions in a lead engineering technician capacity. Under general direction, modify or create deliverables and may perform assignments of a design nature by applying basic engineering principles and established design practices to develop moderately complex design concepts. Provide technical guidance and may provide direction to other engineering professionals. Key Responsibilities - Review project requirements and contract scope of work documents to determine correct engineering graphics standards and implement Project BIM Execution Plan. - 3D model electrical equipment, devices and raceway to produce engineering drawings within Revit. - Coordinate clash detection and resolution efforts with all engineering disciplines. - Develop project specific Revit families and data-driven content. - Ensure that model content is in correct format to allow for automated quantity takeoffs for project estimating. - Perform BIM model audits to ensure compliance of project BIM standards. - Perform quality assurance and document control reviews of drawing deliverables. - Contribute to continuous improvement, stay on top of industry trends, may participate in industry events and marketing. - Lead BIM efforts on projects from an electrical or cross-discipline perspective, and produce deliverables as the sole resource, if necessary (ability to work independently). - May define work assignments, maintain schedules for a regional office, and assist with performance management process. - Proactively maintain communication with project teams (client, management, controls, cross-discipline, etc.). - May support field activities and client interaction. - Actively develop and share knowledge, innovate and pursue integration of new technology. Management Responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Assigned to projects for U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. - Advanced Revit knowledge required. - Diploma or Certificate in a BIM-related field required. - A minimum of 5 years related work experience required. - A security clearance preferred. - Electrical drafting experience preferred, but not required.
