Tax Staff

Position: Tax Staff (Tax Associate)
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: Full-Time Permanent
Salary: DOE
Our client is searching for tax staff who are interested in growing professionally and furthering their career. They serve a variety of clients from owner-operated to middle-market companies in the North Texas area and beyond.
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting and/or Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation
CPA or CPA candidate with 1+ year prior public accounting and tax experience
Excellent communication, time management, leadership, and problem-solving skills; proven analytical thinker and capable of dealing with ambiguity
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and manage time effectively
working both individually and as part of a team
Be confident in directly interacting with both company management and clients
Willing to travel and/or work with clients on-site as needed
Responsibilities:
Preparation of individual, partnership, and corporation tax returns of varying
complexities
Assist with tax research to assist clients and tax processes and procedures
Responding to client questions and inquiries
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end estimates
Draft response letter to IRS and state notices when needed
Make adjusting entries and complete trial balances for business returns
Perform accounting and bookkeeping functions
Maintaining partnership tax capital account work papers
