Job Title: 3PL Fulfillment Specialist
Reports To: Logistics Supervisor
Location: Houston, TX
Pay: Starting at $17/hour depending on experience
Job Summary
As a fulfillment specialist, you will be responsible for processing work orders, locating merchandise, and palletizing/assembling orders for shipment. You will also be required to operate warehouse machinery including forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks; operate delivery vehicles on public roads and highways; and adhere to all safety, quality, and customer service standards.
To ensure success as a fulfillment specialist, you should have a good understanding of warehousing procedures, a good eye for detail, and the ability to solve problems with limited supervision. Ultimately, a top-class fulfillment specialist processes orders quickly and efficiently while adhering to established safety, quality, and customer service standards.
Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday. Occasional Saturday Shift Required.
Duties & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
This team member will ensure all 3PL inbound and outbound orders are properly fulfilled, stored, and properly recorded in the inventory system. This team member is tasked with targeting high levels of customer service, accuracy, and problem-solving ability. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting the day-to-day operations of the 3PL Business Unit
Arranging incoming deliveries in designated storage areas
Locating and extracting merchandise from shelves and storage areas
Confirming merchandise information matches that of the work order
Inspecting the merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularities
Packing the merchandise for delivery
Transporting the packed items to the delivery trucks
Delivering merchandise using a motor vehicle on public streets & highways
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ability to operate normal and customary equipment/technology used in a business environment, with or without accommodation.
Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in the English language, as referenced by applicant’s ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and other correspondence, and communicate verbally with team members.
Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time, fine motor skills, & heavy lifting.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Working knowledge of Cold Storage Processes, OSHA, & General Warehouse Safety
Certification or Experience with Raymond Standing Forklift, Cherry Pickers, & Electric Pallet Jacks
Must be at least 21 years of age
Satisfactory MVR and Driving History
