Arrives to work on time, as scheduled, and follows the company attendance policy
Operates machinery safely according to company policies
Follows job specifications as detailed on the job card
Records start, completion of job, and materials used
Performs first-piece inspection and in-process inspection in accordance to the job requirements
Advises Lead Operator or QC of shortfalls in quality and temporarily suspends production until issue is resolved; escalates to Plant Mgr. if needed
Completes preventative maintenance on machines as required
Maintains proper housekeeping during and at the end of work shift
Meets or exceeds department production efficiency and productivity goals
Cross trained to work across various departments to fill staffing and training gaps to meet production needs/deadlines
Observes safety and security procedures
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 2 years of job specific experience
Skilled in one or more of the following areas: CNC, Travelhead, Beam Press, Handcuts/Vulc.,
Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with business software
Basic math & language skills
Ability to read & interpret blueprints
Good mechanical aptitude
